2006 UCI Road World Championships - Salzburg - Austria - 19 - 24.09.2006

From 19 to 24 September 2006, the UCI Road World Championships will be carried out in and around Salzburg.

Salzburg's Altstadt (old town), on the south bank of the river, is a Baroque city of churches, plazas, courtyards and fountains. Museums, houses, squares, chocolate bars and liqueurs are all part of a homage to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In Salzburg cycling is very popular. The bicycle is the most favoured means of transportation in the population, the network of cycle paths is one of the most densely structured throughout Austria.
