UEFA EURO 2008 - Innsbruck

Tivoli NEU (stadium capacity 30,000). The Stadium Tivoli NEU, used by FC
Tirol Innsbruck, will be extended to increase the capacity from
approximately 15,000 to 30,000 spectators. The arena, located not far from
the city centre and very convenient for public transport, should be
completed by 2006. |

Tirol is the Heart of the Alps and it’s situated in the center of the
European Football Championship 2008. From the capital Innsbruck, which will
be the venue for three matches, all other venues in Austria and Switzerland
can be reached easily and quickly. These are ideal conditions which
guarantee that Tirol will be able to offer its inhabitants and guests
another highlight between June 7 and June 29, 2008 are therefore given.
And already right now, one and a half years before the tournament, does
Tirol present its round sides. The national teams prepare themselves for the
qualifying and the final round and Tiroleans prepare themselves carefully
for the event as a whole. Representatives from the fields of sport, culture
and the economy lay the basis for a successful European Football
Championship 2008 in the sports region number 1 of the Alps. |
